Black Bean Brownies (Oil-Free)

No one will ever know that these delicious brownies were made from black beans! This RICH chocolatey dessert is not only full of NUTRITION, it is oil-free, gluten-free, flour-free, and sugar free. 

 

INGREDIENTS

1 15 oz can of black beans (drained and rinsed)

1/2 cup quick oats

2 Tbsp cocoa or cacao powder

1/2 cup of date syrup (can substitute pure 100% maple syrup)

1/4 cup of almond butter (or any other nut butter)

2 tsp of pure vanilla extract

1/2 cup of vegan chocolate chips

1/4 cup of chopped walnuts (optional)

 

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350F. Combine all ingredients except the chocolate chips in a food processor and blend very well until the batter is completely smooth. Stir in the chocolate chips. Pour into an 8 x 8 pan lined with parchment paper. Cook for 15-20 minutes and then allow to cool for 5-10 min. Cut into squares and either serve immediately or place in fridge to firm them up. I personally prefer them cold!
